International Congress for Tropical Disease and Malaria Launch

The launch of the International Congress of Tropical Medicine and Malaria was held on the 15th of April 2016 on the roof terrace of the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) with the participation of Dame Quentin Bryce, emcee and moderator Dr Norman Swan – Host of the ABC Health Report.

The panel discussion included the Reverend Tim Costello – CEO of World Vision Australia, Professor Sharon Lewin – Director The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, Professor James McCarthy – QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, Dr Ben Rolfe – Executive Secretary, Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance, Professor Maxine Whittaker – Dean, College of Public Health, Medical and Veterinary Sciences, James Cook University and AITHM Board of Management and Associate Professor (Hon) Helen Evans – Nossal Institute for Global Health, University of Melbourne and former Deputy Executive Director, Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
